1955 Ford Thunderbird ??? Raven Black / Red LeatherLocated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.First-year Thunderbird finished in its original Raven Black over Red leather color combination. The car received a complete frame-off restoration in California approximately 16 years ago. According to the current owner, it was previously purchased at a Barrett-Jackson auction and was later acquired by the current owner in 2013.Power comes from a 292ci Y-block V8 paired with a three-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. Equipment includes power steering, power windows, power seat, air conditioning, and a removable hardtop. The A/C was recently charged and is reported to work well. A car cover and spare oil-pan and transmission-pan gaskets are also included.The current owner has driven approximately 2,000 miles since 2013, primarily during the summer, and reports that the car has never been driven in the rain during his ownership. The odometer currently displays approximately 700 miles but was already inoperative when purchased, so actual mileage is unknown.Maintenance has included regular oil changes, replacement of the original-style radiator, and replacement of the transmission pan gasket and dipstick assembly in 2016.The Thunderbird is reported to start and run well with no significant mechanical issues. The original AM radio and odometer are currently inoperative. A minor transmission-fluid leak is believed to originate from an O-ring in the shift-lever assembly.The Raven Black paint remains in excellent condition aside from one very minor touched-up scratch.
